Completion of the entrance exam is required for all eighth grader students interested in applying for admission to Catholic high schools within the Diocese of Joliet. As in previous years, students must take the test at the school where they wish to enroll. Please note that all the high schools located within the Diocese of Joliet will hold their annual entrance exam on the same date (now held in the beginning of December).

IC Catholic Prep does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, national or ethnic origin in administration of its admissions policies, educational policies, athletic programs, scholarships and loan programs, or other school administered programs.

The Admissions Committee reviews each applicant on an individual basis. Applicants for admission must successfully complete eighth grade or its equivalent to be considered. Acceptance is based on a combination of the following factors:

  • Performance on the high school entrance exam;
  • Academic ability as demonstrated by the review of 7th and 8th grade report cards;
  • Performance on 7th and/or 8th grade standardized tests; and,
  • Teacher evaluations.

The Admissions Committee reviews each Transfer Student Applicant on an individual basis. Transfer Student Applicants must complete the following to be considered for admission:

Both the Authorization for the Release of Information Form and the Discipline Record Form should be submitted to the student’s current high school. Both forms will be completed by a school official at the current high school and will be sent to ICCP directly from the student’s current high school. Applications will not be reviewed until all forms and requested information have been received. Upon receipt of all documentation, a Transfer Student Applicant and family interview with the Principal will be scheduled through the Guidance Office.

Special Note:  IC Catholic Prep does not accept senior transfer students, with the exception of out-of-state transfer students. All Transfer Student Applicants will be reviewed by the Principal.

TUITION

Tuition for the 2020 – 2021 School Year is $12,700.

REGISTRATION FEE

The non-refundable Registration Fee is $250.

ORIENTATION FEES

All students are required to pay a fee to cover the cost of student related expenses incurred by the school, such as student accident insurance, locks, technology usage, retreats, and testing fees. These fees vary by grade and MUST be paid at Orientation in August:

Freshman: $310

Sophomore: $310

Junior: $510 (includes junior retreat fee)

Senior: $445 (includes graduation fee); an additional $110 is due if the student attends an optional one-day retreat or an additional $310 is due if the student attends an optional 3-day off-campus Kairos Retreat.

Separate forms are used to order Yearbook, Science Goggles and PE Uniforms. Completed forms are due at Orientation. The costs for Yearbooks will be added to your SMART Tuition account after Orientation, however Goggles and PE Uniforms MUST be paid for at Orientation in cash or by a separate check or money order.

ATHLETIC FEE

Students who participate in a sport will be required to pay an annual Athletic Fee in order to participate during the school year. The fee is $150 per student. For families with three or more students, the maximum fee is $350. The fees are due at the time of online registration at 8to18.com. Revenues from these fees will be used to supplement the cost for necessary supplies, equipment, transportation and officials.

MANDATORY FUNDRAISING FEE

The Knights Blue & White Cash Raffle is held each year during November and early December. Mandatory ticket sales of $500 are required per student or $600 per family. Information and tickets will be sent home with the students.

BOOKS

The average cost of required textbooks is $500-$700, and the books can be purchased from the online Bookstore. To help families manage the cost of books, the IC Catholic Prep Parents’ Club holds a Used Book Sale each year in May or June. Notices will be sent through the students to provide the exact date of the fair.

PARKING PERMITS (APPLICATION REQUIRED)

Student parking permit applications will be made available to junior and senior students. Available spaces will be assigned by the Dean of Students and will be provided first to seniors followed by juniors. The annual fee for a spot in the east York St lot is $225. To apply for parking, a completed APPLICATION must be submitted at Orientation. The cost for parking will be added to your SMART Tuition account.

BUS SERVICE

It is our goal to accommodate all students who need transportation. The bus route is evaluated annually and routes/pick-up points are determined based upon need.

Transportation will be provided by the ICCP school bus, and is available for round-trip service only. Each year, the cost for bus service is dependent on the number of pick-up/drop-off locations and the number of registered riders.

Our campus is only a few blocks from many PACE bus stops. Various routes serve most of the suburbs and can connect you to bus stops within blocks of ICCP.
